Sigma Chi - Beta Xi

            Greetings from the Sigma Chi Beta Xi chapter at the University of New Mexico.  Beta Xi recently celebrated its two year anniversary of being re-chartered on the fifteenth of November 2009.  Sigma Chi was established at the University of New Mexico in 1916 and the house was built in the early 1950's. We currently have a forty-nine man chapter and we are ranked as a Four-Star Chapter according to UNM's ranking system. The chapter returned to its housing as of June 1st 2010 and we are currently working to reinvigorate the house. In the Fall we hosted our first annual Sigma Chi Fight Night benefiting the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation and raised over $11,000 to help fight breast cancer. Last but definitely not least, we are a Peterson Chapter! This award was earned for being an outstanding Chapter of Sigma Chi International. There are a lot of great things in the future for our chapter and this is just the beginning! Look into becoming a part of this fantastic organization.
